Design & win your own HÅG Capisco chair!

If you know me, you know I have a serious chair addiction. Somehow, we have too many chairs in our home, and I can’t seem to part with any of them. Over the past week I had the pleasure to test drive the HÅG Capisco at home, a true 80s icon. I must admit, I didn’t know the chair until recently, but once I did, I started seeing it everywhere. I fell in love when I learned more about  the brand and most of all, the idea behind the design.

Ready for Summer

By 3 1

I feel I’ve been in a spiral of busy weeks, sometimes unable to tell weekdays from weekends, working late, skipping meals and neglecting daily chores. I’m constantly trying to keep up and feel overwhelmed by the thought of some e-mails I had to answer days, or even weeks ago. I am my own boss an consequently I’m the only one to blame but honestly, it always scares me how easy it is to lose track of the things that really matter and take care of your physical and mental health.

Join me at Sissy-Boy Ghent!

By 1 0

i guys, lovely news! Dutch brand Sissy-Boy is launching 4 new stores in Belgium this year, and one of them is in the beautiful, majestic old post office in Ghent. They’ll be celebrating the opening on the store on saturday 10/09 and you are all very much invited!

And oh yes, I’ll be there too! We’d like to invite you to bring something you’re having difficulties styling to the store (it can be from your home and/or wardrobe). You know, that one top you love yet never seem to wear, or that weird but wonderful deco item you inherited from your grandmother but you don’t know what to do with. You can also bring a photograph or you can just describe it to me, and I’ll help you style it with the beautiful new Sissy-Boy fall collection. Or if you just want me to dress you in their latest fashion or give advice on how to set your table for that dinner you are hosting, that’s great too!

48 hours in Barcelona

By 4 1

Looking outside the window to this dreary Belgian weather, I can’t help but long for sunnier days in Barcelona. As I told you before, Vueling was kind enough to offer us a trip to my beloved city a couple of weeks ago, and even this Barcelona expert picked up a few new tips along the way! For those of you who don’t know me all that well, I went to Barcelona on Erasmus in 2008 and have been back quite often since I left. Every few months I get this itch and I feel like I need to go back.

So the invitation came at the right moment (who am I kidding, it’s always the right moment for Barcelona) and I was very pleased to discover the Catalan tradition of Sant Jordi, which was the main focus of the trip. So together with Nathalie and Michiel of Yayzine!, Kelly from Tales from the crib and Roderik from Culture Remains we embarked on a short but sweet trip to Catalunya. And as I expected, it turned out to be one of my favorite blogger trips so far.
