Whenever I wanted to reuse a glass candle jar for something, I used to scrape out remaining candle wax with a knife, which kinda works but gets so messy. So now I wanted to share this quick tip I bumped into that makes this process so much easier!
At first I thought this was a silly post to share with you all, but I feel like sometimes the most practical small tips are the most important. And if I didn’t know this, maybe you don’t either. To get the remaining wax out of your glass, just follow these 4 simple steps:
- Boil some water
- Add the boiling water into the jar to melt remaining wax
- Pour out the water, do it carefully as the glass will be hot. Don’t pour it down the drain but in an old bottle or bowl (the wax can clog your pipes). When the water cools down you can take the wax out because it will be floating in the water.
- Wipe your jar clean with a paper towel
Simple as that!
