Confession: I’ve never ever been to Milan. That’s almost a crime for a self-proclaimed design lover slash travel addict like yours truly, no? Well the good news is, if and when I do go, I know where I want to stay: the Room Mate Giulia Hotel by Patricia Urquiola that has been opened this spring.
The hotel is located in a historical 19th century building and has 85 rooms that have a vintage feel and strong contrasting elements. Most of the furnishings were designed by Patricia Urquiola and custom-made by Cassina, where she was appointed creative director last year.
I especially love the bold use of colour and the returning grid print. And that pink and marble bathroom. De-licious.
