Awhile back I was contacted by the wonderful Julie from Why Not Monday to host a dinner party together. Not just any dinner party, but a Belgetarian dinner party! Carrefour had contacted Julie to cook a lovely meal with local, Belgian products, and she in her turn thought we could maybe host it in my home. As I love entertaining very much, I didn’t hesitate one second and told her I’d love to join in on the fun.
Carrefour provided us with the ingredients to spoil 4 dinner guests we invited via social media, and an innocent hand picked out our dinner guests of the night. Jeroen, taxidermist (you’ve met him here); Liesbeth, fellow webshop owner; Laura, TV producer and one of my dearest friends (you’ve met her here) and Ilja, photographer were our lovely group of the evening. You’d think it would be awkward to wine and dine with a small group of strangers, but it was quite the opposite and the dynamic turned out to be great! Definitely something to do again soon!
Here’s the video of the night with Julie’s recipe, head on over to Why Not Monday for all the details on the food and this post to read all about my table setting. A big thank you to all our lovely dinner guests!
