Eye of the Tigress

Ah, the odd beauty post. I’m not one to test a million products, but when I do find products I really like, I do love to spread the word. Here are some current favorites I use on my eyes.

1. Eyeko skinny liner

I have to admit it, I’m a sucker for anything Alexa Chung related (what gave it away?). So when she became a brand ambassador and developed her own line for Eyeko I couldn’t help but test this liquid liner (even though it’s not from her range). I must say I’m very pleased with this product: long lasting, easy to work with and not sticky at all. Some liquid liners I had in the past were hard to work with and a bit shifty. But not this one! A keeper.

2. Clinique Lash Power Feathering Mascara

This mascara is great if you’re going for a natural effect. I have dark and pretty long eyelashes already and on a daily basis I really don’t want an over the top look, which is why this mascara is perfect for me. It’s not clumpy and easily removable with warm water, which is great for me because I never use eye make-up remover anyway.

3. Kiehl’s Abyssine Eye cream

I’ve read some pretty mixed reviews about this one, but together with Clinique, Kiehl’s has been a longtime beauty favorite of mine and I’m definitely sticking to my guns. I have pretty oily skin so this is a perfect first eyecream for me. Light, and it works well with all my make up, just the thing I needed.

4. Bobbi Brown Long-wear gel eyeliner

When I first discovered this product I was over the moon. Whenever I use regular kohl pencils, my eye make-up smudges in all the wrong ways. I have this product in Dark Chocolate Ink (a perfect everyday shade, but sadly, if I’m not mistaken a limited edition color) and Ivy Shimmer Ink. I love using an angled brush, which makes it easy to “stencil” the eyeliner on.

Apart from the items pictured, I’m using the Clinique eyeshadow I mentioned here a lot, perfect whenever I want to take a break from the heavy liner.
