All Black Everything

By 13 0

On thursday, it was raining cats and dogs here in Belgium, but the boyfriend managed to snap some pics of my all black outfit. I mostly don’t like the way I look in knitwear, so this winter I have started layering jackets to solve that little first world problem. I own a ton of coats and jackets, and this way, I get a lot more use out of them all year round.

When I dress in black I like to play around with volume. Enter the giant bag that could hold a country, my dropped waist Cos dress and that big scarf. And then there’s the beanie I got from Enes, which definitely adds a little something extra to an all black attire. Have a lovely week everyone!

Rock it girl! So, my husband and I are planning a trip to Europe this summer, and are going to go through Belgium- any suggestions for top, most-see places for a day there? I know there’s probably weeks worth but we only get a few weeks total, boo!

Hi Tania, It depends on what you’d like to see I guess!
Bruges is usually a go to place because of its beautiful historical centre, but it’s a bit too touristy for my taste. Brussels is maybe a bit big and too unorganized to cover in a day (apart from the touristy things like “Manneke pis”, which again, I would skip or spend little time on). On the other hand, it is the capital of Belgium and the heart of Europe, it does have nice places and buildings that sometimes feel a bit Parisian. But even for me, the city can feel a bit overwhelming and unsafe sometimes. I’d say visit Antwerp (coincidentally the city where I live, but I wasn’t born here so I’m not too biased ;)). The city centre is small enough to do most things by foot, you have nice restaurants and bars to squeeze in a great lunch and dinner, plus there are some nice museums like the MoMu (fashion museum) and the Rubenshuis (A museum about the painter Rubens in the house where he actually used to live). Let me know what you prefer and I’ll send some more tips your way! 🙂 xx P

Oh also, the clichés but absolutely 100% true: Eat our fries (from an actual “Frietkot”), drink our beer, eat our chocolate.
